There is nothing like having a tried and true method in business. It's something you can rely and lean back on everyday. But then again, so was the horse before the automobile. Old betsy would take you anywhere unlike the confusing combustion engine with parts and processes unknown. What if it broke down? A horse won't! A horse would give you signs before going lame! Well, it turns out a combustion engine will too once you get to know it.
AI is really not much different from the above; although there are tried and true ways, it doesn't mean they are still the most efficient. For this comparison, we will need to see some numbers and facts to differentiate.
Human Example:
Say you're selling widgets at $500 each. They are not a huge purchase but enough that someone would give them some thought. You are currently running a Facebook ad campaign that is delivering you 600 leads a month. Facebook considers 3-5% response rate to leads average; our campaigns deliver quite a bit more than that at around 12-38%. Let's say you're getting a 25% response rate; that is 150 leads. Let's also say you have a 40% conversion rate of those who responded which makes for a total of 10% overall conversion. That is 60 sales, 90 leads that are responsive to the ad campaign but not interested, and 450 that are unresponsive.
Let's say you have one employee you pay $20 an hr to close leads. Let's also say it takes your salesman takes an average of 7 min on unresponsive leads, 12 min on responsive ones but not interested yet, and 30 min on converting leads. Let's examine the chart below:
Your salesman spent 53 hrs calling dead leads only once, that's 13 hrs over a week and they spent 71 hrs in total on non-sale leads. Some sales may come of the responsive leads but in most cases your salesman would need to call them back. They spent nearly 2 weeks on non-revenue pursuits. They only spent 30 hrs of the total 100.5 hrs on revenue building time. When you calculate his efficiency, he spent 1.68 hrs per sale. This grossed you 30k and netted 27.9k. Keep in mind these actual number would be much lower as people need breaks, they talk to coworkers, and are not 100% efficient on these numbers.
Now let's look at AI in the same situation. Our AI will have a higher conversion rate as it messages leads within a min and all at the same time. People can only message one at a time while the AI holds hundreds of conversations simultaneously. This is important as you have a 70% chance of losing a lead after 30 min according to research. This will lead to more leads being responsive due to the lack of time leg.
AI Example:
Let's use the same numbers for comparison. AI received 600 leads in a month. Because the leads are messaged instantly, even outside of business hours, we have a higher response rate of 35%; that is 210 responsive leads. Our follow up AI can resurrect 3% of dead leads that finally respond (this rate can be higher). This raises it to 222 responsive leads. In the previous example, we have 40% conversion rate of the response rate. This leads to a higher overall conversion rate of 14%. This leaves us with 84 sales, 133 leads that are responsive to the ad campaign but not interested, and 390 that are unresponsive.
Your salesman received a higher response rate and if he converts at the same rate as the above example (40%), he will make 89 sales in a bit over a week at 44.5 hours. The increased sales made nets you $14,620 more with less hrs worked. His average time per sale came down from 1.68 hrs per sale to 0.5. If we want to compare apples to apples, we would need to take his rate of $1,000 per hr and multiply by the original 100.5 hrs worked in the previous example. When we account for the 100.5 hrs worked in the first example to his hours per sale with AI assisted your revenue would be $98,610 for the month. A few expenses we are not taking into account would be the ad campaign cost, especially the increased cost as you would 4x the leads coming in to reach this revenue ( approx. 2,400 leads). However, we are comparing man hrs saved and the additional revenue your sales team would make by not wasting time with non-revenue leads.
